Arsenal have entered serious negotiations to strengthen their squad with two Morocco internationals, winger Abde Ezzalzouli of Real Betis and Real Madrid playmaker Brahim Díaz, in a clear sign of the Gunners’ ambition to reinforce their attack in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Díaz a top priority
According to Spanish reports, Arsenal are preparing a €60 million offer to Real Madrid for Brahim Díaz, who is finding it difficult to establish himself as a starter this season.
Mikel Arteta sees Díaz as a versatile addition capable of playing on the left wing or behind the striker, while Real Madrid’s management do not appear committed to keeping the player if a suitable financial offer arrives.
The clubs are expected to open official channels of communication during December, with the deal, if successful, to be finalised when the winter transfer market opens in January.
Ezzalzouli an attractive option
On the other hand, Abde Ezzalzouli remains an attractive target for Arsenal after his clear development with Real Betis, where his market value has risen to around €40 million.
But the path will not be easy for Arsenal, as the player’s contract with Betis runs until 2029, while reports put the asking price at around €60 million, with Barcelona retaining a percentage of any future sale.
A difficult double deal
If Arsenal succeed in completing both deals, they will have secured two Moroccan wingers with speed, skill and the ability to make the difference in big matches, but both files are still at the negotiation stage with no official agreement so far.
